I found this NixOS github issue with a similar problem, but I’m not sure how to apply their fix.

#Mailspring login update
Manual update check (/check/linux/圆4/1.8.0-8983dca2/anonymous/stable) returned 204 I initially thought it was an issue with the mailspring update itself… but downgrading gave me the same errors. Today after I ran normal updates, mailspring failed to launch.
